Chronic back pain

Ben came to Alloy with the kind of gym background that was working against him, years of traditional bodybuilding splits and gym-bro lifting that had built some size but also a chronically stiff, painful lower back.

He wanted to build real muscle, burn fat, and get into functional strength training. What he needed was a smarter approach. The busy work schedule didn't help. He needed something efficient and structured, not another program he'd fall off of.

Ben hit the ground running. He shows up ready to work, greets everyone with a smile, and brings a competitive energy that pushes the whole group. After one year of training at Alloy, he entered the 1,000-pound club, bench press, squat, and deadlift combined, up from around 700 pounds when he started. His family and friends have noticed what they describe as his 'tree trunk legs.' They're not wrong.

But the result that matters most to Ben might be the one you can't see in a photo: significantly less back pain. By improving his hip mobility and learning to move better, he solved a problem that had been slowing him down for years. He's also down over 20 pounds.

Ben shows up no matter how long or hard his week has been. That consistency, combined with a willingness to train smarter instead of just harder, is what got him here.
